“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”” (Romans 10:14–15)

The Prophethood of All Believers

(Acts 2:14-21) In our passage this morning the Apostle Peter explains and interprets the events of Pentecost as a fulfillment of a prophecy spoken through the prophet Joel (Joel 2:28-32), that in the Last Days God will pour out his Spirit on all his people both as a sign of the End of the Age as well as an empowerment for the proclamation of the Gospel to all people everywhere that "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
