“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”” (Romans 10:14–15)

Our Father

(Matthew 6:9-13) In this new series, Lord, Teach Us To Pray, we are looking at the Lord's Prayer to understand how and why we should pray as Christians. In this opening petition, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..." we find both the foundation and the power of Christian prayer: the fatherhood of God. It is in being called his children and learning what it means to call God 'father', that we begin to understand what prayer is and how we are to do it.
